Joanna met Maya Laurent at the Influence Conference in 2015. After learning that the Laurents were on their way to London as missionaries, they became fast friends. Being missionaries in the process of fundraising and preparing a family for an overseas move, they have a lot in common with the Appels. The Laurents are now in London and are getting settled in! Check out their website to learn more about them! www.laurentsinlondon.com

Tim and Deanna have a true gift of hospitality. When we first moved to Colorado, we lived in their basement for two months with one year old twins, a very pregnant Joanna and Tom starting a new job at Smokey Hill Vineyard. They are both incredibly gracious and wise people who happened to have lived overseas in Austria with Greater Europe Mission, which is how we were introduced to our missions agency.
